Due to the Chandra Grahanam, the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala will remain closed on March 3 for approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes.
As per temple traditions, the temple doors will be closed from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM on March 3. The lunar eclipse is scheduled to begin at 3:20 PM and conclude at 6:47 PM. In accordance with Agama rules, the temple is closed six hours prior to the eclipse.
The temple will reopen at 7:30 PM, followed by Shuddhi (purification rituals) and Punyahavachanam. Sarva Darshan for devotees will resume from 8:30 PM onwards.
Arjitha Sevas Cancelled
In view of the lunar eclipse, TTD has cancelled the following Arjitha Sevas scheduled for Tuesday, March 3:
- Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva
- Kalyanotsavam
- Unjal Seva
- Arjitha Brahmotsavam
- Sahasra Deepalankara Seva
Devotees are advised to take note of these changes and plan their Tirumala pilgrimage accordingly.
